The 2000 Lafite is a legendary work of the millennium, and was awarded a perfect score of 100 points by James Suckling (JS). The wine is a rich ruby red with a purple rim. The aroma is unrestrained and delicate: violets, cold mint and blackberries first, followed by smoky cedar, graphite and spices. The taste is extremely concentrated yet remains agile, with Cabernet Sauvignon accounting for 91% (a historical high), giving it a strong tannin skeleton, wrapped in the deep flavor of blackcurrant jam and minerals. The aftertaste lasts for more than one minute, combining power and finesse, with aging potential to 2040+ years. The word "2000" and the five-arrow emblem are engraved on the bottleneck to highlight its commemorative significance.
